California FarmLink, Great Agricultural Matchmaking

Yesterday we spent a delightful morning visiting with a dozen people who are interested in the possibility of finding famland they can lease here on the South Coast. This tour was arranged through California Farm Link, www.farmlink.org a non profit on a mission to build family farming and conserve farmland in
California by connecting aspiring and retiring farmers; and promoting
techniques and disseminating information that facilitate
intergenerational farm transitions. I am always intrigued to hear what everyone's background and vision is and also inspired by their passion for farming. It is really amazing to meet all these enthusiatic people and to see so many young people especially so eager to seek a career in sustainable agriculture.
Fred and I are eager to see our land in production again and excited to be talking to some of these folks again soon.
