I guess it is easier said than done.

Don't give up hope yet. What it will take is for a few people to regularly post Twitter Messages from this network so that people start to get interested. This is an avocation for all of us so it will have to take off when it is good and ready. Keep the faith.

Thanks! I love blue crabs too... but I'm allergic!

I contacted a local food forum group I belong to today about the site, we'll see if any of them make it over here!

Heather - I love the photo! We are only in the produce business but I am thinking of blue crabs as my favorite "local food" right now.

Maybe the parents need me to visit soon!

Thanks for the support. We started this network last year but never reached out to partners to get it off the ground. We have reached out to others and they will be helping also. Just know that it won't happen right away.

The key is that we all post a little something every now and again. Also, ask friends to join you because if is always the most fun to talk to friends about localfood.

Finally, if you can figure our how to do it, please change the background of your Locale Maryland page to a picture of somewhere in Maryland. I am from Virginia and I sure miss the Chesapeake bay...
